FAQs

Who is this class for?

This class is perfect for parents and caregivers with babies who are getting ready to start solids in the next few months — typically around 3 to 6 months old. First-time parents especially love this class.

Can I bring my baby?

Yes! Babies are absolutely welcome. This is a baby-friendly, relaxed environment.

Do both parents need to attend?

Not at all — you’re welcome to come solo, with your partner, or with a grandparent or support person.

What does the class include?

You'll learn about readiness for solids, different weaning methods, nutritional guidance, how to safely introduce allergens, and practical choking first aid and CPR — all in a supportive, judgement-free space.

Will I be practicing CPR on my baby?

No — we use manikins to demonstrate and practise choking first aid and CPR safely.

What if I haven’t decided how I want to wean yet?

That’s totally okay! We’ll go through all the options — traditional weaning, baby-led, and a mix — so you can choose what feels right for your family.

Is there parking available?

Yes — there is on-street parking nearby, and the IMC car park is just around the corner.

Will there be food or drinks?

Yes — light refreshments (like tea, coffee, and snacks) are provided during the break.

What if my baby gets fussy during the class.

That’s completely okay — you’re among other parents, and the class is designed to be flexible and baby-friendly.
