During a Facial Acupuncture treatment we use a combination of Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation Massage, and traditional Gua Sha massage to get glowing skin from the inside out.

Facial Acupuncture is a multi-layered treatment, offering the holistic benefits of Acupuncture, and the cosmetic benefits of facial needling and skin stimulation. Like two treatments in one.

The cosmetic side: ultra-thin needles are inserted into fine lines, or surrounding areas of scarring, breakouts or irritated skin. This increases circulation, providing healthy blood to nourish and detoxify the skin. The micro-trauma effect of the needling increases the production of collagen and elastin, giving plump youthful skin even up to 6 months after treatment. Cosmetic acupuncture has even been shown to balance the oil and water content of the skin, increasing hydration without the need for more products.

The holistic side: The face is viewed as a microcosm of the entire body. After a Traditional Chinese Medicine style consultation, acu-points on the face are chosen for your overall health. Using this method we can address the root cause of skin problems, be it stress, poor sleep, hormonal imbalance, etc. We also can target face-based issues such as jaw pain, rhinitis, and congestion.

Luckily, you don’t have to choose one approach, as my treatments combine both. Sara uses facial micro-systems, cosmetic protocols, and holistic facial massage to provide the most relaxing experience and the ultimate post-facial glow, that lasts.

This treatment is safe for all skin types, and is pregnancy safe.

I recently completed a Master’s in Women’s Health at University College London. My Master’s dissertation explored the experience of parenthood after IVF. This research helped me appreciate the unique challenges families face in the early stages of parenthood. My goal is to give you total peace of mind, so you can relax and get the uninterrupted rest you deserve.

FAREEDAH

Deciding to embark on the journey of becoming a midwife at the age of 17 was a natural choice for Fareedah. She was propelled by a profound passion for supporting and empowering women throughout the transformative experience of childbirth.Fareedah’s decision to pursue a master's degree in dietetics alongside her midwifery background was a purposeful choice aimed at enhancing her ability to deliver comprehensive care. Recognising the pivotal role that nutrition plays in maternal health and fetal development, she sought to deepen her understanding. By integrating dietetics into her skill set, Fareedah aims to provide well-rounded guidance, fostering optimal health for both mothers and their newborns throughout the childbirth journey.Inspired by the strength and resilience displayed by mothers, and driven by her commitment to promoting holistic healthcare for new mothers, newborns, and their families, Fareedah's aspiration is to contribute her knowledge to Ask The Midwife.
