About the event:

February 12th will see Ask the Midwife and SKN TO SKN come together for a thoughtfully curated pregnancy and postpartum experience, designed to support women through movement, education, skin health and community.

Ask the Midwife is a trusted Irish service dedicated to providing evidence-based education, reassurance and support to women throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Founded to bridge the gap between clinical care and real-life questions, Ask the Midwife empowers women with knowledge, confidence and compassionate guidance at every stage of their journey into motherhood.

SKN TO SKN is an Irish skincare brand rooted in education, integrity and skin barrier health. With a strong focus on sensitive, compromised and hormonally changing skin, SKN TO SKN supports women through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond by offering both high-performance products and clear, honest skincare education.

The collaboration between Ask the Midwife and SKN TO SKN is a natural alignment. Both brands are deeply committed to education, empowerment and supporting women during some of the most transformative stages of life. Pregnancy and the postnatal period bring profound physical, emotional and hormonal changes, and both brands recognise the importance of addressing these experiences with care, expertise and empathy.

The event will take place at Ask the Midwife & The Barre, Sophie Mallen’s new barre and reformer studio, and will be split into two intentional experiences.

The morning will focus on the postpartum journey, welcoming new mothers to a gentle Pilates class led by Sophie Mallon, followed by a relaxed brunch and a SKN TO SKN skin session. This session will address common postpartum skin concerns, including barrier repair, nourishment and recovery, while creating space for connection and shared experience among mothers.

The afternoon will centre on pregnancy, inviting pregnant clients and a small group of aligned influencers to a pregnancy-safe barre class, followed by a skincare education session highlighting SKN TO SKN products suitable for use during pregnancy. Each guest will leave with a curated goodie bag, reinforcing the event’s focus on care, intention and ongoing support.

This collaboration reflects a shared belief that women deserve access to trusted information, supportive environments and moments of care throughout pregnancy and postpartum. By combining movement, skin education and community, Ask the Midwife and SKN TO SKN aim to create an experience that feels nurturing, empowering and genuinely supportive. Both brands are incredibly excited to bring this event to life and to continue building meaningful, education-led collaborations that support women at every stage of motherhood.
