About Ciara

Ciara McNulty is an experienced dietitian with a true passion for women’s health. She has worked in Ireland’s busiest maternity hospitals supporting women throughout their pregnancy, and post-partum experience. She cultivates a judgement-free and compassionate environment during all appointments. She works through a collaborative approach, making sure her clients’ motives, concerns and priorities are at the centre of each consultation. She supports those with: pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting, iron-deficiency, constipation or other gut issues, low bone density, weight changes, cravings, low energy and more. She understands pregnancy can be a confusing and overwhelming time especially as it relates to diet & weight changes so please note these topics are not exclusive to her service.

What to expect:

Ciara offers appointments in-person or virtually. During your consultation, she will discuss your medical history (including pre-pregnancy), medication and supplement use, blood tests (if appropriate), digestive symptoms, dietary patterns and physical activity. You will work together on creating a plan that suits your priorities and lifestyle. She will provide you with take-home written information and notes from the session. Please feel free to come prepared with any information you would like to share with her during the session- this may include notes, diet record (2-3 days), blood results, prescriptions etc. A link will be provided in advance if you have selected a online-session.

When is the best time to attend during pregnancy:

You can come at any stage throughout your pregnancy or post-partum. There is no best time to explore your nutrition.

Do I need a doctor referral:

No

Can I claim money back for the consultation fee?
Yes! You can claim back on your health insurance and medical expenses tax as Ciara is a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute and a CORU registered dietitian. We will provide you with a receipt after every consultation.

Is there a cancellation fee?
We ask that you allow at least 24-hours before your appointment to cancel a session.

SABINE

I am a Qualified Midwife with an active midwifery PIN in the UK, and I have over nine years of childcare experience supporting families with children from newborns to teenagers. I’m friendly, calm, and truly adore working with little ones. I recently completed a Master’s in Women’s Health at University College London. My Master’s dissertation explored the experience of parenthood after IVF. This research helped me appreciate the unique challenges families face in the early stages of parenthood. My goal is to give you total peace of mind, so you can relax and get the uninterrupted rest you deserve.

FAREEDAH

Deciding to embark on the journey of becoming a midwife at the age of 17 was a natural choice for Fareedah. She was propelled by a profound passion for supporting and empowering women throughout the transformative experience of childbirth.Fareedah’s decision to pursue a master's degree in dietetics alongside her midwifery background was a purposeful choice aimed at enhancing her ability to deliver comprehensive care. Recognising the pivotal role that nutrition plays in maternal health and fetal development, she sought to deepen her understanding. By integrating dietetics into her skill set, Fareedah aims to provide well-rounded guidance, fostering optimal health for both mothers and their newborns throughout the childbirth journey.Inspired by the strength and resilience displayed by mothers, and driven by her commitment to promoting holistic healthcare for new mothers, newborns, and their families, Fareedah's aspiration is to contribute her knowledge to Ask The Midwife.
