FAQs

Do I need to have any experience?


No, this class is aimed at anyone who is planning on having a baby, expecting a baby or has an infant and would like to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills to confidently handle emergency situations.

Do I need to bring anything?

Absolutely not, we will supply handouts and pens. We will have equipment to gain hands-on experience with CPR and choking. We have tea and coffee facilities for the break, and a large baby changing unit should you be bringing your little one.

Can I talk to a midwife while I'm there?

Absolutely, there is always a midwife on site at Ask the Midwife if you want to have a chat.

About Éle:

Éle is a dual qualified (Children’s and General) nurse with over ten years experience working with infants and children. She has a background in caring for children with rare diseases as well as paediatric emergency, caring for premature infants, and community based paediatric nursing. She gained experience in many hospitals across the world, including Australia, Sweden and Ireland. Éle aims to promote confidence and reduce anxiety and fear amongst new parents by providing helpful and practical first aid education in a relaxed environment.
