Frequently Asked Questions
An initial reflexology consultation typically involves a few key steps:
Health History Review: The reflexologist will fill out a consultation form about your medical history, lifestyle, any current health issues, and specific concerns you may have. This helps me understand your needs and tailor the session accordingly.
Foot Examination: The reflexologist will inspect your feet for any signs of injury, tenderness, or other health indicators.
Explanation of Reflexology: I will explain the process, what reflexology is, and what you can expect during the session. I will discuss the techniques I will use, such as applying pressure, thumb walking or working specific areas.
Session: After the assessment, I will begin the treatment. I will apply pressure to specific reflex points on your feet. You may be asked to relax and breathe deeply during the session. The pressure can range from light to firm, depending on your comfort level.
Feedback: Throughout the session, I may ask how you're feeling and if any areas are more sensitive than others. I will adjust their pressure accordingly.
Post-session Advice: After the session, I will provide recommendations for aftercare, such as drinking water, avoiding strenuous activity, or scheduling follow-up sessions.
Overall, the initial consultation is about assessing your health needs, explaining reflexology, and creating a personalized treatment plan.
The follow up sessions will involve a shorter consultation at the start to understand how your body reacted after the previous treatment. I can answer any questions you may have. We will assess if reflexology is meeting your goals and enabling the body to stay healthy and in homeostasis.

Q Why do we do it and why should we do it regularly?
Reflexology is a holistic treatment which means it works on the mind, body and spirit. Treating the feet will keep all these energies harmonised at all times enabling the body to stay in homeostasis. So not only is it an amazing practice for treating ailments and conditions it is also used as a preventative practice as it treats the body holistically.
It is like bringing a car for a regular service to make sure every part of the machine works the way it’s supposed to. Sometimes disharmony’s of the mind, body or spirit can be mirrored in the feet before they manifest in the body. Being able to recognise and treat these imbalances early can help the body stay healthy. The reflexologist doesn’t heal only the body does but reflexology helps to balance all the body systems and is useful therefore for treating I’ll health and effective on maintains good health and preventing illnesses. Therefore I always recommend to my clients to attend reflexology regularly to keep their bodies healthy.
Q My Speciality
I specialise in all aspects of women’s health especially maternity and postpartum care. I have a background in nursing with over 10 years experience as a paediatric and general nurse.
Introducing reflexology at an early age is a huge passion of mine and it can guide them through all aspects of life.
Q My Philosophy
It is my goal as a reflexologist to reach balance and harmony among the body, mind and soul.
My motto is “Attention with Good Intention”
We usually treat each type of “health” separately and if the physical, mental and spiritual health are not related. For example we might see a psychologist for mental health, a doctor for physical health and a healer for spiritual health. But is it really possible to separate them. For example can we maintain our physical health in the absence of mental health? The answer is no ! We cannot isolate any of these aspects of our well being. We are either in balance or out of balance. The mind, body and spirit work as a system and each part contributes equally to a whole person. Holistic healing is considered to be more beneficial and effective because change occurs on all levels and as a result are more likely to last a long time.
